Wyatt's Hat

Wyatt asked if I'd knit him a hat. I found this cute pattern at www.knitty.com. I just love the design. I first made this one in navy and baby blue, but I used a smaller size needle than it said because that's what I had. Well, it came out too small....and fits Clare pretty good. I bought the proper size needle and tried again with gray and light yellow (Wyatt's request). It is knit using two strands of yarn at a time which makes it a nice thick, warm hat. I have been wanting to sew a crib set and window valance for Clare's room. I made one in blues for Cameron when he was a baby, but I wanted a pink one for Clare. I finally got around to buying the fabric for it. I love how it turned out.

Winter Hat

I really wanted to try knitting using a color chart. I saw this pattern online and loved it! You can find the free pattern here. This was my first project using circular needles. It ended up being a "big" hat, but I think it looks cute.
