This year I decided to make some of the kids Christmas gifts. I was mostly able to use fabric that I already had, which made it CHEAP!! Wyatt has wanted me to make him a robe for a while, so I decided to make the Wyatt, Cameron and Clare a robe. These are from fleece fabric I had. Then, I made Wyatt and Cameron PJ pants. These are from some "Christmasy" plaid flannel I had.

I made Clare a diaper bag, sort of patterned after my diaper bag. I then made her some little flannel diapers for her babies. The pattern is found here. Two are pictured, small and large, and I made her two of each size. To make the small ones I used a 1/2" seam and large a 1/4" seam. I made two burp cloths out of flannel as well.
Clare LOVED these tutus we saw at a children's resale shop. They were like $35, and I thought to myself, "I could make that...for way cheaper". I think it cost $5 for the tulle and ribbon. I cut the tulle to the right width and length, then gathered each piece. I sewed a 1/2" ribbon on the edge of one of the pieces. I put all the layers together and basted around the top. I then took two pieces of 1 1/2" ribbon and sewed them together lengthwise to make the casing for the elastic. Note: grosgain ribbon is too thick for the casing....must use satin. Seam ripping tulle is NOT fun!
And for Tag, I made a hooded bath towel. I saw this really cute one on this blog. I like the style of it. It fits and stays on the baby's head nicely and it's big enough to wrap him up well. It uses a bath towel and a hand towel, which you can get both at Walmart for around $5. I didn't take very good pictures to show the pleat in the back of the hood. Go to that blog to see it better.
